96 Residents Receive Food

And that's the way we want it. Donated food does no good for anyone on the shelves. Last Friday I got to meet who has been continually supplying us with Food Bank items. The woman is a member of Paper Crafters, and the boxes come from the surplus donated to the Senior Center of Broken Arrow. Chris Pugh, a Scout mom who also stopped by to make donations, took one of the boxes to Coffee Bunker along with some ripening bananas. My point is this: If our church hadn't opened its doors to the Scouts and Paper Crafters, these fine people wouldn't have known about the Outreach work we do. They are part of our mission. Our doors being open has a ripple effect. So yes, the food shelves are down BUT 96 residents at Disciples Village are getting much needed food and so are the veterans at the Coffee Bunker, many of whom are homeless. Thank you to all who donate and support this outreach. This is what church is all about.
